cooper and the magic beanstalk!

i took some photos a few days ago but didn't get around to posting them until today.

here is the purple fava bean:

there is still no sign of the edamame soybean or the cherokee cornfield bean. they were planted on january 22, so it's been a few weeks and i'm wondering if and when they will poke thru the soil.

now, the progress as of today.

here is cooper and the magic beanstalk....the triumpho violetta. it has grown to 6" tall in 3 days!

all in all, i am very happy with the progress the plants have been making, especially the triumpho voiletta and the carlin soup pea. they are growing so fast, i quickly have to decide how to best support these fast growing plants. i will probably bring in some old planters i have from the garage and create a trellis system for them..... stay tuned!
