17.2.10

time for an update....it's been a while

the beans are getting so big, i needed to make a 'trellis-like' system to support them. since they will grow to 5 or 6 feet tall, i had to use something relatively strong, yet small enough to work in the small planters i have the beans in. i pruned some shrubs in the yard and used it to make the support. i also used string to weave around the trellis creating additional support to the plans as they grow.

here are the 2 planters i have with the trellis system.

hopefully you can read the labels, but in order they are; purple fava bean, cherokee cornfield bean, carlin soup pea and triumpho violetta bean.

here are the tomato plants; purple calabash on the left and green pineapple on the right.
and of course, my trusty helper...cooper
